Yamhill Lavender Festival & Exhibit plus concurrent Workshop opportunity

Paint the Lavender Fields of Oregon between the dates of June 24th and July 8th, 2011. You may enter up to five completed paintings in the Plein Air Art Show and Sale held at Beulah Park in Yamhill, OR. This public show and sale is part of the annual Yamhill Lavender Festival, July 9th and 10th, 2011. The lavender fields are located primarily in NW Oregon and maps to participating farms will be provided. Plein Air Workshop with Jennifer Diehl
Instructor Jennifer Diehl has been painting professionally in the Russian Impressionist tradition for over ten years. She is considered by many in the art world to be a master painter. A natural teacher, Diehl connects with students of all levels and styles. She is adept at communicating the techniques necessary to create beautiful, successful paintings. We will be painting en plein air at beautiful lavender farms near Yamhill, OR. The workshop will take place rain or shine; shelter will be provided.

eric Jacobsen: Still life Workshops at Art on the Boulevard, (WA) Jan, Feb & March 2011

Painting Expressive Still-Lifes Workshop with Eric Jacobsen
Where: Art on the Boulevard (in the Courtyard)
When: January 29th (1o-3)
February 26th (10-3)
March 26th (1o-3)
Cost $50 per session
This class is open to beginners on up. We will cover composition, color, edges and the use of expressive brush strokes to give life and energy to your painting. The atmosphere will be informal and friendly so come and enjoy a Saturday or two of still life painting.
You will need: an easel, canvas, paintbrushes, odor-less minerals spirits and drop cloth. Also, bring a lunch and something to drink. There are a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop located in the courtyard near the gallery so you can also get something there to eat and drink.
