2010 Plein Air Painting Workshops with Mitch Baird

Join award winning artist Mitch Baird for a local plein air painting experience capturing the beautiful Oregon landscape. The workshops will be 2-day intensives for all skill levels and limited to 12 students to ensure individual attention. The Colorado workshop will be a 5-day intensive regarding the process of plein air to studio work. The location settings and dates of the workshops will be:

June 12th & 13th
Columbia Gorge, Washington/Oregon
9am - 5pm

Held in conjuction with the Solo show
at Art on the Boulevard, Vancouver, Washington

Jef Gunn's teaching approach is both philosophical and hands on. Often he switches from representational to abstract and back again...don't let any of that fool you, he is one of the most dedicated plein air artists of the region, with a deep understanding of why we paint outdoors. His work is currently at Augen Gallery (Portland) and Traver Gallery directly across from the Seattle Art Museum. Sign up to learn from one of the region's most influential and recognized artists.
